Trevor was educated at Acadia and Dalhousie Universities, Nova Scotia, Canada.  In addition, he has a Certificate in Photography from the New York Institute of Photography.

Trevor has lived in Barbados, Nova Scotia and Ontario.  He has travelled to all the Canadian provinces, throughout most of Florida, the US mid-west, Washington to Minnesota, and Australia and New Zealand.  He has displayed his photographs at the Suntan Art Center (St. Pete Beach, Florida) and has won numerous awards at various camera club competitions.  His sales have been to customers in many of these locations.

Close-ups, especially of the flora of Ontario, as well as the photography of birds (mostly in the Everglades) and butterflies, are some of his passions. He also enjoys capturing the the varied landscapes of the Precambrian area of Eastern Ontario and the scenic beauty of the coastal villages of the Atlantic Provinces.

Whether he is portraying a certain aspect of nature that the viewer may be unaware of (such as the inner beauty of a flower, or the delicate wing structure of a butterfly), or capturing the varied landscapes (the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies, the power of Niagara Falls, or the rugged beauty of Peggy’s Cove), Trevor’s aim is to depict the image in a realistic manner.

Gaile Bethell

Educated at Acadia University, Nova Scotia, Canada, Gaile’s paintings are dedicated to interpreting the visual beauty of her environment.  She is a member of the Richmond Hill Group of Artists and East Central Ontario Art Association.Gaile has travelled to the West Indies, the New England and U. S. mid-west States, Florida and across Canada, but makes her home in Richmond Hill, Ontario.  Her work continues to receive recognition through numerous group exhibitions in Ontario—Cedar Ridge Studio Gallery, Richmond Hill Heritage Centre, Mill Pond Gallery and Suntan Art Centre, Florida.  Many paintings have been selected for juried shows. Several hang in private homes in Nova Scotia, Ontario and Florida. Gaile enjoys painting in all seasons, striving to capture the play of light and shadow in the woods at her summer home near Ottawa, Ontario.  Painting landscapes is a challenge in perception—the same scene can change dramatically, depending on the time of day.

The beauty of any landscapes, whether it be lupines beside an abandoned building or a Maritime fishing shack, is always cause for celebration.

Gaile creates paintings that capture the rhythms and music found in the land she not only sees but also feels, so that her work portrays a strong sense of place.
